yes! Trip 2020

Yes! TRIP 2020 is a personally curated virtual event by Dr. Yashima designed to give you the strategies to “Finish Strong.”

e-Expo & Networking @ 6 p.m. Program @ 7 p.m.

Opening THEME Night:  After 5 Dress 2 Impress

Fashion Show:
Curated by Sarah Herring and HandbagsULike.com

Cyndi Lauper said it best, “Girls just wanna have fun!”  Well, not a lot of fun has been had since March 15th.  Life’s gotten real, hard and serious for most of us, so let’s DRESS UP on our opening theme night (After 5 formal attire) and start our TRIP with FUN! How about a fashion show and a little “retail therapy” with Midwife Herring? If we didn’t have “gifts up our sleeves,” we wouldn’t be TRIPpin!

Opening Plenary I Panel:  How Do I Love Me, Can I Count the Ways?

Speakers:
Desiree Dezzie Neal and Rev. Dr. Kellie Hayes

If asked directly, “Do you love yourself?” most women give a quick and resounding, “Yes!”  Yet, when we assess our health, sleep pattern, self-care regiment (what’s that?!#), calendars and emotional stability we find little evidence of this self-love. How is your self-love defined? What is it contingent upon and how is it working for you? We start our themed opening night of TRIP dressed up (After 5 formal attire) on the outside, but we dig deep inside and count the cost for not honoring ourselves, our dreams, hopes, ambitions and callings. No need to fear. Our panel of Midwives are prepared to give us the tools to FINISH STRONG.

Opening Keynote:  Forgive, Then Travail

Speaker:
Dr. Deirdre Anderson

2020 has been a seemingly never-ending tornado that we keep trying to clean up after just to realize we’re still amidst an active storm. The casualties are great. Though grateful for life, our anger is understandable. If honest, we’re angry with ourselves for what we haven’t done and who we aren’t being.  We’re angry with others for violating us, not supporting us, leaving us and killing our spirit.  And in our secret place when we’re honest, so many of us are angry with God for allowing this to be our life.  There is lifting!  Midwife Anderson is anointed to help us FINISH STRONG.

e-Expo & Networking @ 6 p.m. Program @ 7 p.m.

Plenary II: Really! to Reinvent My Career

Speaker:
Tina Garrett-Ragland and Wanda Ballentine

Furloughed?  Laid off? Stuck in a no-end job? Waiting on a raise? Whichever end of the spectrum you represent, 2020 has been a game-changing career curveball and all of us aren’t rebounding. Midwives Ragland and Ballentine are Human Resource executives and daughters of the King armed and ready to inform us of the real time strategies for landing a position, negotiating our worth and positioning ourselves for MORE. It’s time to dominate the Mountain of Business and make kingdom impact.

Plenary III: Help to! Reinvent My Business

Speakers:
Tekoa Hash, Melinda Emerson and Amanda Miller-Littlejohn

If you’ve ever experienced the joy of being paid for your intellectual property, product or service, congratulations – you’re an entrepreneur.  You live the excitement, pressure, wins and losses most Americans will never understand. 2020 has been the ultimate ride for most, but the impact for many entrepreneurs has been their life’s work hanging in the balance. How do we “weather the storm”? How can we scale our businesses to thrive? What do successful business owners know that we need to glean? Before you leave your job… before you close your business… before you take out that loan… before you make an uninformed move, check in with our Midwives who have both built and reinvented successful businesses that have withstood the test of time and they are coming to TRIP 2020 to teach us how to FINISH STRONG.

Plenary IV: Jesus! to Reinvent My Life

Speakers:
Telishia Berry, Tameka Montgomery and Sirena Thomas

We’ve all heard it, “Life happens!”  Well 2020 has certainly amplified that.  But when we’re honest, life ‘happening’ was true before we ever heard of COVID-19. Many of us have lived unfilled and fruitless for years. Life hasn’t always been fair. Divorce, career shifts, children, sickness, financial crisis…all of that!  It all seemed like viable reasons to not write the book/song, score the film, start the podcast, audition, open the business, launch your ministry, etc. If you’re looking back with regret, or trying to figure out how to move out of the ‘land of stagnate’ or the ‘land of overwhelm’ our power Midwives have stories of turbulence to triumph that we all will be inspired from and glean life-changing nuggets to help us pack our bags and relocate forever!

Keynote: I’m Shifting For My Sanity

Speaker:
Prophetess Diane Haskell

Yes, you’re reinventing and fighting for your career or business and life, but foundationally, what’s at stake is your MIND. You’re not losing your mind. You’re not having a nervous breakdown. Grief will not overtake you. You are better than your circumstance and greater is the One who lives within you. We end our 2nd programming day with Midwife Haskell who will take us through steps to reclaim and protect our emotional and psychological health/stability. Start speaking to your mind, will and emotions now…you will FINSIH STRONG!

e-Expo & Networking @ 4 p.m. Program @ 5 p.m.

Closing THEME Night: Athletic/Workout Attire

Closing Session:  Finish Strong

Speaker:
Dr. Yashima White AziLove

Day 3 of programming is the conclusion of the matter.  Come dressed for our final theme day in athletic/workout attire prepared to cross your proverbial finish line.  Don’t miss the business and spiritual impartation of TRIP Visionary and Host Dr. Yashima as she takes us on the final lap of the race inspiring and informing us on how to FINISH STRONG.

Workout Demonstration - Despite being home more with perceivably more time to spend managing our health, the data shows we're gaining weight. Needless to say, not only does increased weight put us at risk for diseases like hypertension, diabetes and cancer, it often dictates to poor emotional health and the lack of energy. Let's do it! We're almost at the finish line. Come workout so you can FINISH STRONG!

Closing Session:  Finish Strong

Yes! TRIP Rules

  1. Set your intention (at least 2 items) before December 11th and actively seek these items Dec 11 – 13.
  2. Find an accountability partner and register together. We’re telling you, having someone to hear this content, experience this power and commit to reinvention with you will increase both of your chances to not only experience but maintain transformation. Please stay in integrity.  One registration is for one participant. Unfortunately, our event planner will remove any “suspect” participants.
  3. Plan to have your camera on the whole conference. While we understand the possible need to multi-task, to maximize synergy and the power of a virtual engagement, your “physical” presence and commitment to “play hard” is crucial. You must take an active role in your TRIP.
  4. Print your materials from this site the week of December 7th so you’re ready to fully engage.
  5. Try to dress the part. Our theme dress on 2 of the 3 days is all about us being of ONE mind. Friday, the attire is formal and Sunday, the attire is athletic/workout clothes.
